ok..started getting a leak...tracked it down to the (v6) access panel for the torque converter...i assume this is where the rear main seal sits up against the tranny...

looks like i am going to have to drop the motor...?? is there a DIY on dropping it out? i've seen some threads on the 4cyl tranny replace..

...has anyone else had this happen? arrgghhh 1 thing after another on a 2001....shoulda done more research b4 i bought it... $plit

Most people just do a 6MT transmission swap at this point.. The V6 transmissions are a weak point, on all 98-02 Accords.

I haven't seen a particular DIY for dropping out a V6.. It's pretty self-explanatory, depending on your experience. If you need in-depth explanation, you probably shouldn't be undertaking such a task. Maybe V6P.net has an in-depth DIY on V6 engine removal, but I haven't seen one here.

I took a picture of where MY leak is coming from. Can anybody let me know if it's also a rear main seal?
