there is also a difference between buying a knockoff and buying a well made non FIA certified seat. Many companies(esp new ones who's target demographic is not real racers) make perfectly good seats but don't have the money/volume/profits to justify getting that certification. I know if you go to a track you see like 4-5 different companies seats so they mostly know that the racers are brand loyal when it comes to stuff like this. There is alot of money to be made off of the import tuner crowd that isn't as brand loyal. It doesn't always mean that a seat is inferior if it is cheaper. You just have to do your research like anything else.
