You're sketchy about it for good reason. They install GARBAGE alarms from companies you or I have probably never heard of. I doubt they will offer you any kind of warranty coverage on either the product or the install. You gotta pay to play.
It's looking like it'll be around $400 for remote start/alarm/keyless on my Galant.
