Don't mean to threadjack but lately I've been noticing a similar occurance on start-ups in the morning. It starts at around 1.5k for about 25 seconds, drops down to about 800 for a bit and then revs up a bit (not as high as OP but just a mini rev) for several seconds and back down the rest of the way. Not a big deal but doesn't really seem normal? No idle issues while driving and stopped at a light though. I will record a video tomorrow morning.

That seems like your IAC valve is starting to go or it's getting clogged up. Fairly common on our 6GAs. Remove the IAC valve, clean it up, and let the car reprogram itself to the clean IAC valve (about 50 mile drive or so) and see if it keeps happening. If it does, then replace the IAC valve as the sensors inside of it may have failed and do the re-program thing over again.
