It will fit, but a 40 profile tire will keep your speedo/odo accurate.
Btw it may poke just ever so slightly on the front depending how low you are. I am lowered ~2.5" front & rear and I have 18x8 +45 all around, and with roughly 1 fingergap the 225/40 tire is perfectly flush with the front fender. It will be hardly noticeable though with a 225 section width. If you were using a 235, then it would be more noticeable.
