it sounds like you really got bent over on that loan...
you can buy the same car for like $8k (which is what insurance agreed was the replacement cost)...and gap isn't really even needed once the car hits 6-7 years old since most depreciation is taken care of, and the purchase : value difference is pretty equal once youre a year+ into the repayment...
