so I somehow managed to break off one of my lug nut studs on the back left wheel, I ordered a new hub assembly from TAS since it was only $50 and the dealership wanted $260 just to punch out the broken stud and put the new one in. My question is, is it safe to drive with only three lug nuts at least till the part comes in?

It's not recommended but I've seen it done on plenty of cars... I'd just drive it for necessities and not joy riding.

It would only take you about 15 minutes tops to get that stud out. And I'm including the time to take of the tire and everything else...one hammer swing and it will pop right out. And cost much less than $50.
