Line out converter... has nothing to do with power supply or remote wires. It simply converts one signal source to another, in this case standard speaker wires to an RCA jack allowing you to connect and RCA-to-RCA cable.

You normally install it by splicing into one of the rear speakers wiring and grounding it to the car (to eliminate signal noise), then plug in the RCA cord to the coverter and run it to the amp to give the amp a signal.

EDIT: LOCs are for running an amp from a stock stereo or a headunit with no preouts (virtually none)

no there is no remote wire or anything its just connecting a sub an amp to the stock head unit, so what your trying to say is just splice the left and right wires in the rear and connect it to the converter?

Yes, it would be best to solder, but you could cut the rear speaker wires, strip them, and us a butt splice to reconnect them, but with 2 wires on one side to feed the LOC.

You will need to connect the remote wire to ignition (yellow wire in radio harness) or to the power outlet to get the amp to turn on when the car or radio turns on.
