Seat stuck in the lay down position

Just went on break at work and I went to my car to listen to some music and I put the seat down, now the seat wont go up....

wonder if there is just anything stuck in there that can hinder it from coming up. probably more of an issue in the actual rails.

even with the handle up, and your hand on the back of the seat pulling, still stuck?

idk how the recline function works, but i know for the sliding motion i know theres a cable that might come undone, maybe its the same for the recliner

I forgot to mention they are power seats.

check the fuse. im not sure where the fuse would be but look for it

I don't think its the fuse. I can hear the motor running when I push the button.

With the seat motor running, you can't help it up by pushing the seat up? As in it just won't budge?

The seat won't budge even while pulling the seat forward and pushing the button.

The gears are stuck. When I got my cls seats mine were too. What I did was grab a flat screwdriver and hammer and smacked at the teeth til it was unstuck. Those gears were pretty strong so I was able to hit it pretty hard
