I always thought that unless i do something major with the engine such as headers/cams exhaust that i won't pass smog, but my friend told me that something simple like an intake affects smog check? i need to do my smog check and i would like some input on this, thanks 6thgen

It shouldn't affect anything as long as you connected everything you disconnected from the stock intake.

I was denied a smog test here in San Diego because of my AEM SRI.. they wouldn't smog it because it didn't pass the "visual test". They said they had to call somewhere to check the CARB number to make sure its legit but the place they have to call is closed on the weekend and told me to come back during the weekday.

:squintfinger: drove back home, changed it back to stock and got it done that same day.
