srs light HELP!

I installed a 01-02 odyssey steering wheel and I purchased a 01-02 coupe air bag but when I put in the srs light would not go off I cleared it and re occurs I sold my old tan air bag and I do not know if it was stage 1 or 2 can any one tell me do I have the proper air bag and will the coupe bag work with my car??

What's the code?

1 Stage Airbag inflator: 98-00 Accord
2 Stage Airbag inflator: 01-02 Accord

The old one threw a code, so you swapped?

Or it threw no code, you swapped the wheel now it throws a code?

I never checked the code the light came on after I swapped it and my buddy cleared it for me then it came back on.. I swapped the air bag because I wanted the black one to match the steering wheel

You definitely need single stage in that car. Plus, the airbag you installed is probably dangerous due to the airbag recall. Get a 98-00 coupe airbag in black.

I'm pretty sure I have a dual stage ??

The light only on after, hehe, install the old bag even if the colors don't match. Clear it and see what happens.
