If they tick even when the car is warm and up to operating temp...then get someone who has done it before to perform a valve adjustment.

If they only tick in the morning when the car is cold...let them be until they tick when the car is warm/operating temp.

they tick when its under a heavy load like going up a hill in a higher gear. i feel like theres a loss of power not exactly sudden but if i floor it i can usually get it to start ticking again.
im going to top off my oil and see if that helps but it always ends up coming back.
around how much does it cost to have a pro check it out? from the videos ive seen it seems like all you need is a tool to check the gap, spin the crank and check the next group of valves. doesnt seem to complicated..
