First of all you need to sand down with 800-1000 grit sandpaper. Wash well with soap and water using those green nylon pot scrubber and make sure there is no dust remaining. As soon as it is dry you need to put adhesion promoter. Do not wait too long after washing because I read somewhere that the mould release comes back to the surface after a few hours.

I used Transtar Mul-TIE adhesion promoter as it is designed for also painting polyu plastics. http://www.tat-co.com/products/plastic-repair-materials/mul-tie-adhesion-promoter-1031/

Then use Transtar 2in1 Primer. This is a primer which is FLEXABLE and designed for flexiable plastics and polyu. http://www.levineautoparts.com/tr2in1prg.html

Then you should go to your automotive paint shop and get a spray paint can made for your car's colour with FLEX agent. Also ask them if they have clear coat with flex agent as well if you want to add some more protection.

If you do not use products with flex agent like above, your paint job will not last!! First scrape will result in paint flaking and it will come off in large chunks.

To give you an idea what I used, see my thread here. http://www.6thgenaccord.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46708 But since my car is black, I used Transtar 2 in 1 Trim black in gloss black as my final coat which also has flexability. I did not use any clear coat and it is holding up well so far. But you can add the flex clear coat for added protection if you like.
