That seems kinda small for a 3l enigne. I would have thought It would have been like and eaton m90. miatas use m62s on there 1.6s. Then again you don't need as much psi to make power on a v6.

whats the displacement of the comptech superchargers? Is it modified eaton?

Its 1L or 62ci

4th gen Eaton roots, internal bypass, 3 lobe rotors at 60deg helical twist.

No turbo kit is going to be CARB legal, you won't have turbo lag but then again the SC has its own form of lag where although it has instant boost its not necessarily instant full boost, plus it has the kick *** whine and better off boost NA performance since you dont have to go crazy on the exhaust piping.

You do have more potential with a properly sized turbo however. Power consumption for the blower is 25/35hp for 5/10 psi levels respectively. So you can get that power back in theory.

1L is thought by some perhaps the majority as being small even though we fall within its dispaclemt recomendation range, those including Doug from Hondata believe the 90ci blower is the better choice. Jproy on acurazine adapted a MP90 unit to his kit.

I disagree were talking supercharger here. For most SC were talking anywhere between 45% to 65% Hp gains. Thats definitely worth it and big. Im in a 95 though so Im not sure of the difference for the tranny. Besides if it goes out buy another one. The engine will be fine unless you run boost in it. I would just go natural with the supercharger, but some prefer boost. Honestly having a supercharger is like being on boost 24/7. So you make the call. I WANT THE INTERSECTION KILLER TOO

????

OK, so you'll know, A Supercharger (Blown) Turbo (boost) or nitrous is a force induction.
I have yet to see a supercharger add a 65% increase to a 6 cyl Honda motor.
The max I have seen was about a 20-25% gain
BUT, even if that is possible, imagine the cost of the work.....
Although Superchargers do provide constant power, the cost to power ratio is not worth it
IMO, the only cars worth supercharging are V8s because of displacement.
However there are some v6 cars worth supercharging.
Nissan's cars with the VQ motors are one

+1, thank you! lol

WRONG.

It's a MP62. And trust me, huge difference.

Eaton M90>M62
