Amongst a few other, some differences include the holes on either side, and the OEM reinforced areas where the V6 vs. the I4 motor mounts are bolted onto. Each can be modded with a little skill and time.

I suggest anyone looking into a j-series build check out the threads of NV-A6 over on v6p..... he's done pretty much everything (except for the reversed TB mod Danny had pondered :lawl:)

I've seen some of the posts. I wonder if those mods would pass inspection, the bottom end would be stock VIN, the fuel management is the only concern I think. The J32A2 + Comptech SC would be killer and probably ref approved with a little work to maintain all OBD II gear. On the other hand any legal 4cyl swap would be much slower by comparison if h22 and much more expensive if K.

I wasn't planning on it but now I know nobody that will be willing. I guess I'll just makes 20 stops and if no one wants the extra cash I'll undergo the swap. I also need to know this for a 'just in case' scenario.

i know of a place that'll pass for some extra place pm if u wanna know
