Tire choice!?!?

Hey guys, I need your guys help I'm choosing the what size tire I should get to stretch 17x9.75?? I was thinking 215/45. Just want a nice stretch nothing to crazy! Also wondering if these specs fit our cars? Thanks guys!

Nice ride lowermycg5. The stretch you have is how I kind of want it. Also thanks, I'm going to try 215 and if I don't like it I'll go with the 225.

A 225 section width on a nearly 10" wide rim is going to yield a lot of stretch. Hope your car is pretty low or the fitment won't look very good, since afterall the only reason to stretch a tire is if the car is dropped considerably.

I'm on f&f type 2, so I'll go lower. Right now I'm on 18x7.5, but got some cash saved up for new rims.

Use your current wheels as reference. Figure out your ride height and alignment specs that you'll need to run those wheels. Then measure how much room you have or how much work you're willing to put in on fender mods. From there, you can figure out the tire size or reconsider the wheel specs.

You'll need to do a pull though, if you haven't already.

thanks man. honestly i dont have as much stretch as id like. the tires i have run true and not narrow like the falkens i was going to get. the hankooks in 205/45 that i have fit like a 215/45 falken

They remind me of the tl type s wheels but they are more concave if you see them at an angle. I wanted to get 18 but didn't want have extra cash to go 5 lug.
