Tires for 17x7

Americas Tires is having a sale today and tomorrow on tires if anyone is intrested. My question is what tires will fit 17x7 rims? I see some people saying 215/45/17 and others saying 225/45/17. Which will fit best? Not trying to strech or anything if that matters. Anyone please answer this asap.

i always went with a 215/45/17, should be the best size to keep the speedo within spec. i never had any problems running that size.

What is your stock tire size? Plug that into a tire calculator, up the wheel size to 17, and find what section width/sidewall you should run to maintain the overall OEM diameter. This, in turn, keeps your speedo/odo accurate...as well as keeping your new setup from looking too small.
