Transmission is bad at startup

02 2.3ex with auto at first start up of the day the tranny seems to slip threw all the gears and when it warms up it shifts just fine. Tranny still slips second I have to feather the throttle so it don't over rev an slam in gear. Does this sound like tranny is about to die? My fluid looks fine and the fluid level is good.

It sounds like the tranny is dead already....... time for a rebuild.

mine has a similar problem too .. shifts kinda hard at start up but once it warms up its fine.. im doing my research now on a tranny swap ..

clutch bands are toast. 5 speed swap...never look back
