ohh and my car is at idle and i am not stepping on the gas. the amp does not cut out due to lack of voltage. :)

thanks guys.
i have a v6. i dont know if that makes a difference but yeah 2000rms with stock alt, blue top and kinetic 600hc. all 0 gauge runs.
im surprised my alternator even lasted all these years. the voltage stays around 12.6-13.2-3
hope im not jinxing myself lol.

Voltage should read 14.5-6 at idle... alt may be nearing the end of it's life.

Thats about on the border considering your battery is 12v. U should do a reading with your lights and stereo on. If it dips below 12v, u shud buy an honda odyssey alternator.

I think that's pretty optimistic output honestly

Really? I mean with the system volume low, it should read that.

My alt with almost 200k on it reads that at idle... hmmm.

I'm not an audio expert by any means, just stating what I know. :D

2000W / 13.2V = 151.5A :eekwtf:

2000W / 12.6V = 158.7A

Holy bejeezuz.

EDIT: Electrical stuff is my kryptonite, but you would think the voltage regulator would kick in and up the idle so the alt could generate at least 14V.
