Black if anything, but it kinda requires you to paint other things black as well. Honestly, it's not all rusted or anything, the shield is in decent shape. I'd probably leave it alone if it was me :thumbsup:

go black. It would be hard to find a right match for the valve cover plus it would just be too much red.

Yeah, you could try to find an aluminum color silver if you really just wanted to refinish the cover....

and by "other things" I mean an intake, for example. And a strut bar. Other small pieces in the engine bay that owuld look good touched up in black and would kind of tie the theme together, rather than having one big piece of metal in front of your engine painted black, and another big piece on top painted red.

do some photoshops and see what you think.

black.

red heat shield = rice

rice = bad

I'm gonna disagree with you here. I think Red can look pretty clutch if you do it tastefully. I've got a white coupe and I'm going with a red/white color scheme. Red valve cover, red strut bar, red SRI, rep rad cap, red lines.. etc...

Ricing it out, is just the overuse of color, regardless of what that color actually is.

Looks good bro. Like I said, keep the color as an accent to your car and not like you dropped a paint can in your engine bay and I think it can come out looking classy.

i say first clean the bay. then do photoshop because a clean bay can help you make a better choice on what to do.
