What is the difference between f23a1 and f23a4,and how do I know which one I exactly have?

F23A1 -- standard Vtec sohc (EX/LX)
F23A4 -- ULEV Vtec
F23A5 -- non -Vtec 135hp DX sedan engine (some VP models too)

So The dx is the only one w/out ulev & vtec right?.!

Engine code is stamped on your block, J"s have a tag on the trans side just above the bellhousing.
