just recently, i took the car to the shop to do a few things:

i wanted done:
-fuel filter
-power steering flush
-fix small oil leak
-pressure wash and degrease engine bay

what was done:
-power steering flush
-tightened all belts including timing belt
-multiple (around 4) oil leaks
-spark plugs
-distributor cap and rotor
-new battery
-new battery terminals
-new brake pads
-degrease and polish engine bay

effects:
-power steering whines like a giant blower
-brakes arent as firm as they used to be
-everytime i let off the brakes it sounds like a metal ball rolls back and hits a wooden board
-extra vibration when i accelerate (thought it was from the wheels, but now i think its from the engine)

yea....i think im going to buy a jack and jack stands and start doing things myself.

they did test drive it and they said they thought it was fine. i then pointed out the extra vibration and the told them the brakes weren't as firm. they told me jus drive it for a week and if it still happens come back. the brake pads settled in, but werent as good as when i first took them in. extra vibration is still there. they said the power steering whine is still happening because of possible bubbles in the fluid :)eekwtf:) and the knocking sound when letting off the brakes is there and annoying. im taking it back reall soon.

I wonder what kind of brake service they did, I'd bleed the brakes just to double check their work..

Well last night I replaced my front brake pads which was fun :boo:

Before that, I had my spark plugs replaced, my timing belts and the water pump replaced.

I also did a seafoam treatment, and got an oil change.
