Brad, nice work. I'm sure people will be thankful for your pioneering experience.

Thanks, I'm sure there will be some other knobs to experiment on soon.

Is the RX-8 knob overlapping the fan numbers?

Nope, all of the numbers are still visible...I just took the pics from an angle that may be somewhat deceiving since I wanted to capture both sides of the climate control.

That sucks that the TL knobs are so close in size, are set up the same, just don't stick out as far. I really wanted to do this because my headunit has one knob that is polished. I may try to work something out, who knows.

couldn't the excess "height" be removed by a dremel? do the male/female connectors fit otherwise?

There isn't an excess "height", there's actually a lack of height. The female connector of the TL knob is smaller than the Accord's male connector, but only minimally. A few seconds with a dremel and that problem would be solved. The problem is the Accord's male connector can't reach the TL's female connector. I'm assuming the TL's male connector on their vehicle is about an inch longer than ours.

I sanded down about 1/4 inch off the TL knob and it fits.

I see what you're saying. Yeah, that might be a possibility if you could sand it down perfectly and make it look OEM.

Here are some pics:

I sanded it down a little more with a dremel but need to go and buy some fine sandpaper to touch up the base.

Jephu- Which dremel bit did you use? Which grit sandpaper? I'm surprised it only took 1/4" of sanding to reach the Accord's base.
