Im doing some guessing work that will probably destroy my car, but where is the "brain" for the remote lock and unlock button? Does anyone have a diagram or pictures?

the first pic shows the control unit on the back of the panel under the steering wheel. i know for a fact that it isnt there on my car. maybe its somewhere else under the steering wheel. feel free to give me some rep if this is helpful
the other book (pic 2) shows the alarm system being apart of the multiplexers....good luck!
