Honda to sell Mugen Civic SI

Honda's Mugen line of factory-installed performance products is more than well-known to Honda enthusiasts in North America, but cars equipped with Mugen goodies haven't been sold here until now. Starting in mid-October, Honda will sell the track-tested Mugen Civic Si.

The Mugen model differs in that it sits 0.6 inches lower to the ground on a tightened up suspension, has unique 18 inch forged aluminum wheels and a unique aero bodykit.


The Mugen models will be available exclusively in Fiji Blue Pearl. Inside, a Mugen Limited Edition badge and an exclusive gear knob will separate it from other Civic Si models.


Underhood, the Mugen is identical to other Civic Si models. The Mugen will be limited to 1,000 models and will be priced "under $30,000," according to Honda.

$30k is way too much for a civic. I'd just get a V6 6speed if I had to have a Honda.

hmm...i don't know if that will sell well over here...there is a very small group of people that like to spend that kind of money for such small changes...especially in this price range...but the car does look nice...just not that much nicer than the Civic Si's that I see at the dealer already...

they're trying to leverage the Mugen brand name, thus the premium in price... the rarity also comes into play... however, i dun care... only civic i'd buy is teh intimidator

yea, not just a 6spd v6, but a FULLY LOADED WITH NAV 6 spd v6, theyre $30k.

i dont think you'll feel much of a difference from the regular Si's. Just different suspension, wheels, spoiler, and aero kit i believe. Do you know if it will be equipped with the Mugen ice box?
