I never thought the road noise was that bad personally. But part of it depends on the tires you're running.
Like I said, maybe I'm just being picky.. but it just sounds like I hear more of what goes on outside, inside the cabin, than I should with the windows up. Getting new tires all around definitely removed the tire noise factor though, I can't even hear them anymoreI never thought the road noise was that bad personally. But part of it depends on the tires you're running.
Well I'm definitely not Auto-Xing this car haha, this is my daily! I'm trying to keep the creature comforts and such as close to stock as possible while also tastefully modifying it. I don't even notice the couple of extra pounds my massive 12 adds, so I'm sure some deadening in the door panels and trunk shouldn't hurt either.I must be the only one who likes to feel and hear everything going on with their cars.
I only really notice the road debris on the road I live on that is covered in rocks. I only noticed it really when switching to sticky tires. It does not matter how fast you go . Even going 5 mph you still hear the tires kicking up all the rocks at the car.
New cars you cant feel or hear what is going on. It is so boring. All you hear is constant beeping from the cars seat belt light, parking sensors, doors being opened, etc. Those beeping sounds and all the automatic crap on new cars like(auto wipers, auto high beams, etc.) is what really annoys me.
You could always add sound deadener, or spray the fender liners and undercarriage with a rubberized undercoating that deadens sound.
Not to mention all that adds extra weight, which for me is unacceptable since I use my car in auto-x competition.
