I have bought a complete drivetrain from a 2003 cls MT and plan on swapping it into my 02 accord but am having trouble sourcing headers that will work with the manual transmission. My question is to those that have done this swap is were you able to modify the dc headers to make them work(If so how?) or did you go on a unicorn search for the Comptech headers. I am not interested in the ebay garbage because of concerns with quality unless some stellar reviews turn up on them wich I doubt will happen but who knows.. I might be surprised. Thanks in advance for your input.

I have considered the XS headers but I have seen a lot of mixed reviews. Has anyone that has used these done a before and after dyno to see if there are any gains over the stock manifolds?

XS has made a new batch of headers with the bend. Guys over on Acurazine are using them. Not sure if they are in stock.

It does not matter if it is a Ebay header. The big issue you need to be concerned about are the welds.

The welds on headers will crack at the primaries after a period of time. I have even seen those overpriced Comptech's crack. Before you bolt on any of those headers, have all of the welds beefed up/add more material. See Below

Just a quick question since this thread is here. I found a set of used comptech headers (No downpipe) for the j30 my ultimate plan is j32 6mt... My question is; will the j30 comptech headers fit the j32 when I end up doing the swap?

Sweet! This was the answer I was hoping for. Thanks, Red.

As far as down pipes are concerned. Would the stock lower piping fit the headers or will I need to buy/fab a down pipe to connect everything? I jumped on the oportunity to grab these headers bec I know how hard they are to find and are the only CA smog legal headers I know of. Got them used for $80 total, with shipping. Should be getting them on by next week!

Pretty sure you will have to fab the y-pipe. $80 is a great deal for just the exhaust manifolds, nice find.

Thanks again. That is no problem, I have an exhaust guy I use in SoCal that we have used for all of our cars. He is awesome.

Came across them on the FaceBook "6th gen accord parts for sale" page. Jumped on them before they were snatched up.
