I have a 98 Accord LX Sedan, I want to add turbo to it but my friend says I shouldn't because of the engine, I do not want to do an engine swap and I want to keep the engine as it is, I'm asking if anybody can give me an answer for this problem ! Thank you!

It would help if you told us what engine you had, mileage, trans, condition of the motor, etc...

I'll tell you right now, if it's an automatic, don't bother. Either convert it to a manual and then boost it, or buy a manual one and boost that. Auto will hold that power for very long at all

^Agreed. Chances are you'll need beefed up internals. Lowballing the turbo to around $3,000. You'll be looking at $7-10k for a rebuild and turbo if you won't be doing the work.

The engine isn't necessarily the issue. The F23 block can handle the abuse. I haven't seen many people turbo the J30, but I think that's more because of the automatic transmission, more than anything.

I'll see what info I could pull up but it's a manual with 200k miles. It's not that I don't want a engine swap but wouldn't I need to get a transmission that goes with it, gearbox, etc?
