I'll put in my support for this sub-forum. Whatever keeps the forum busy and gets people active is good for the forum. It's up to Cody in the end though.

Am i the only one against this? I think it could just be in a thread really. I don't know, i feel like this went from a call forum to a personal life forum. I think it's cool to have a section where members can show there personality, there real life, but i think there could be just a single thread on this and although it wouldn't be as organized or effective, it would work fine, and we would still be a car forum.
I personally think this site has almost "too much" of a culture. If i joined later, alot of things would make me feel like this forum isn't for me. I look at some of the tech forums and the same topics have been there forever. I go to an off topic forum and one thread grows by 10 pages in a day. I just feel like adding more of that gets off the topic of cars. Again, i think you could still have alot of this stuff in a more condensed way.

sorry i dont think car forums should be all cars all the time. i know how bad that sounds, but the information we need is here. when ppl start new threads asking for help on certain things, its immediately closed with a single post saying SEARCH. car companies arent coming out with some new tech. that could possibly keep us talking about cars all the time. we have all seen the good and bad videos of cars on youtube and other forums. sooner or later the threads are going to become repeat conversations about cars. life is full of constant surprises that need to be talked about.

i understand what leeann is saying, and i agree with her.
although, i have to admit that we, 6GA.com, lack many tech infos.......yes, there arent much of new stuff to cover, but i think there there are lots of topics that hasnt covered fully in depth.
for example, we dont have dedicated 6thgen retro info. its all scattered, if not, we'd advise pplz to visit hidplanet or other forums....
we just need to focus a bit more on tech than real life situation.....
dont get me wrong, i think it is a great idea to cover real life situations......many of us come from different background and what not.....we have youngsters from high school to some mid 30's have stable job/family and stuff......
it never hurts to learn/hear advise from elders
