if you really arent going to use them, i would just tell him that and give them back or something. if i gave something to someone, that i thought they wanted, and they kept it and didnt install or use it and it just sat around, id feel a little awkward about that more then the thing being given back.

At Christmas we give stuff and keep the receipts just in case, i'd say it's more hurtful to buy someone for someone and it go to waste, i'd rather be told I don't really like it and let them go buy something they want with the money. If he's your good friend, he won't care.

yea it really depends on the person....like my wife's side of the family...you don't buy them something they don't want....they view getting gifts as them getting whatever it's worth...then they trade it for something...which i don't mind...but my family is diff...if you give a gift...that is what we wanted to give you...and its kinda disrespectful to not use it...

so you need to kinda gauge how this guy is...and if it's not like totally against the style of your car...i'd install them...like if someone brought me headrest tv's...i'd be like WTF....cause my car will have like a rollbar and racing seats...but if you still got a backseat...why not...it's not like they are crappy headrest tvs are they?

no they are not some crappy, when I opened them up, they actually looked pretty nice, 7" widescreen I think they are. I'll put them on tomorow just to see how they look.

I'd just tell him you don't think they look right and give them back. If it were me, i wouldn't sell them unless i was expecting compensation. If it's just a "perk" that was unexpected, i'd just give them back rather than sell. If it were me and I gave somebody something to say thanks, and they sold it, it wouldn't bug me but more than a few people i know would get pretty mad about that.

I think the best thing is just to be honest with him and tell him you don't want them. If he's your bud and all he should be cool with it ya know.
