Mike your car is hot…no doubt about that…your about to do the engine swap anyway aren't you???

I dunno how he got in the magazine..the guy deserves all the props that come with it…just cause a car gets in a magazine doesn't mean its the best...just means it’s a good example and I hope that this feature will inspire some more folks to build accords…you just gotta keep you head up…say fuk it and take this to the next level…don't let this kind of thing get you down...let it challenge you to go further...

I don't think any magazine has really tapped into our style…people keep taking these cars and try to make them show cars(wings and bodykits) or mod them with the same rules they would an integra or civic….when they need to realize that accords/tls/and cls are their own style….they may take certain elements from other styles….but they don't need to put 16" JDM wheels on…they look hot on integras/civics…but look weird on Accords…they also don't need staggered wheel setups with huge lips….accords look good with 18"s…but we ain't VIP…we're FWD…you gotta find a balance…to create a look that fits….the only generalization I see that looks good on tons of diff styles is stance…seems like the lower the better is the case in VIP…JDM…Drift…etc etc….

tho I guess if you really want to be in a magazine….buttering up editors now wouldn't hurt…lol…

Ahhh good ole dave...he is def old school..He lives in knoxville, and was thinking about coming to the TN meet but was out of town..He is def one of the first to do the swap so you can't hate on him..i think he has had that swap in his car for 4 years plus...

I have always loved his car..he has i think 3 sets of wheels..the ones in those pictures used to not be in DD but maybe they are now...He used to go to UT so i saw him almost everyday..i will have to find some old pictures of his car..

From what i remember his accord used to be lower...and i see they didn't show the custom paint job under his hood haha...aka spray paint

That car looks great. Very clean and tastefully modded, the engine swap and whatnot is just the icing on the cake. No one says that a car has to be a fully kitted, wild looking car with one-off wheels and tacky **** that makes the car stand out from the crowd. I'm glad to see cars like his get featured, as half the reason imports get such a bad name is because when the average Joe picks up an import magazine it's filled with cars that are covered in vinyl decals, kitted with gaudy body panels, and rolling on oversized wheels. If he posted on these forums, we'd all be congratulating him on a job well done and drooling over his engine setup, but because he's not here to talk to one-on-one, we have a lot of people talking **** for no reason as at. Jealousy is a funny thing sometimes.

I actually like that car, it's clean. The rims aren't all that bad IMO, doesn't hurt to sway from the norm.

THAT was the best they could find to put in the mag. There are a NUMBER of you that need to start submitting your pics to these mags so there is a worthy spread of a 6GA!!!
