Fuel pump

I am N/A and do not plan on going any other way so my question is about getting a new fuel pump, i'm a little over 170,*** miles and I was wondering if I should get an OEM or for possible tunning capabilities get a performance one. If you do suggest I get a performance fuel pump, why? and which brand would you recommend?

I see a lot of people use walpro. But IMO u wont need it unless ur running boost or some serious compression from a n/a build. The only way to truly TUNE a 6thgen is to go obd2 to obd1. Otherwise ur fighting with ur currant ecu reverting back to its original specs.

ya i looked into the ecu swap and found out all that needs to be done but I want to keep this as my safe dd while i (hopefully soon) get my evo IX. so idk if it's a good idea to do all that to my reliable honda since a dsm is not too reliable, i need at least one running at all times lol

You shouldnt triple post lol. The OM's or Admins in here will horde ur for that.

If you want to keep your honda a 100% reliable DD then keep everything OEM. Hands Down, Period. There is a reason why honda parts are made specifically for our cars. There is an exception of aftermarket parts that exceed oem specifications but they usually cost a grip of money too.


You can find your fuel pump under your trunk carpet, u wil have to fold down your rear seat to access your fuel pump. I have never removed a fuel pump before. If ur car is a 4cyl 4dr. Because that is what mine is.

Is your fuel pump bad or going out? No? Then leave it alone.

If your not going to go boost and you need to replace your fuel pump get a Walboro 170 its great. I have one with 10k miles on it I'll sell for $50 bucks. I just installed a 255 so if you have any questions let me know. Good Luck.

What is the advantage of this over an OEM part?
