Lately my Accord has been stalling when I make a complete stop. That would include putting my car from D to P, or D to R. I would be coming up to a red light and then my engine would shut off completely with the rest of the car on.

I would have to play with the gas peddle and the ignition for awhile before I could turn my engine on again. I asked my friend and he said it is something an "IAT or IAV" or something, but we weren't able to fully discuss the problem yet. Anyone know what to do here?

Today I had to jump start the Accord to get it running. That was a bit different... any possibility that this could be the root of the problem?

You can call a Honda dealer, give them your VIN and see if it's been fixed. The flaky ignition issue cause the engine to cut out at random times, such as on the freeway and the like, not just when coming to a stop.

Yeah the Heather Mist Sedan I had use to have this problem. Got the recall done, problem solved.

Register HERE, put in your car's VIN and it will tell you everything you need to know about your car, including service bulletins and recalls, and it will tell you if they have been done or not.

Over the weekend I'm going to take my car to the dealer and claim my recall, I'll let you guys know if that fixes it!

In the meanwhile I have another question I want to ask w/o creating another thread. My headlights have condensation inside them, and possibly a pool of water. I have HIDs, will the water damage my bulbs?
