HELP!! My Engine Eats Oil!!!!

oh nylon washers, eh? I was thinking you still had the aluminum washer when you said "ive never changed my washer before".....lol. Ok ya I guess only the honda OEM filters come with the washer. I've only used honda filters in the past (I get them for about 2 bucks a piece). my bolt is also a 13 mil so you probably have the original one. torque spec is like 20 or 25 ft lbs but I've never seen anyone torque a drain bolt before. Honda supplies all their shop with these pre-set torque wrenches for a few things like the lug nuts, oil filter, drain bolt, etc..... I've only used the drain bolt torque wrench once.

ha ha my bad, because i have a nylon washer i failed to mention that i removed the crush washer when i first bought the car... so i did change it once 3 years ago... LMAO my bad... but finch, i am not to sure what size mine is. I forget until i get under the car... lmao! :fail:

I think we're all confused. 99F23 has nylon, I've reused it since I got the car.

Me too.. I always thinks it a 15mm because that's what 5th gens are and I've never used a 13mm on anything besides the drain bolt.

yeah the older civic i know have a 13mm... but i forget mine... i honestly want to say it is a 15mm... now you got me wanting to go check ha ha :bash:

Do a compression test as said. If compression is low in 1 cylinder, put so oil in the piston around the rings. do the compression test again. If the compression goes back up, then its the rings. It could also be your valve seals.
