After writing a DIY on how to use cathodes as a license plate lamp, I thought about making kits that would replicate the mod with a simple plug and play device. After money and time was spent making them, they are finally done. There were a few objective I had for these kits.

-Completely plug and play. No splicing, electrical tape or any of that stuff. Just insert, adhere, and go.
-Integrated diodes. These serve two purposes. One, they prevent current from flowing backwards through the cathode's inverter, which would break it. Secondly, they lower the voltage slightly, providing a voltage closer or slightly lower then 12 volts.
-Built in fuse. God forbid you encounter a short somewhere, this would be a nice safety measure to have.
-Full sleeving and clean appearance. It makes the kit much easier to install and remove, very organized.

Currently stocking white, blue and green.

Inline 3a fuse. ATO type, for simple and easy replacement if needed.

**NEW KITS FEATURE A MORE COMPACT 3A FUSE!!**

Wiring harness plugs directly into the stock bulb socket. Here is a shot of the harness and the stock 194 bulb.

Diodes (as seen in the picture) are soldered and hot glued into the bulb connector, for a strong, safe and simple connection and clean appearance. the diodes will prevent accidental damage from installing the kit with opposite polarity (+ and - switched). If polarity is incorrect, the kit will not function. Just flip the connector and re-attach, no blown inverters!

Carbon fiber pattern sleeving. Looks dark grey from most distances and angles.

**NEW KITS FEATURE NEW SLEEVING COLORS!!**

img0110h.jpg

All sleeving and wired connection heatshrinked, and not burnt!

One wiring harness

A complete kit.

Installation guide (on a 6GA sedan).

Every kit includes:
-Custom wiring harness w/ bulb socket connector and integrated directional diodes and ATO fuse.
-Cathode ballast
-2x 4" cathodes of your choice, sleeved and prepped with STRONG double sided tape.
-Package of Velcro tape pre-cut to proper dimensions, if you prefer Velcro over double sided tape.
-Photographic installation guide

And for anyone who is reading this thread and does not have a 6th Gen accord, these kits will work for any car that uses a 194 or 168 bulb for the license plate lamp (So long as the wire can exit from the bulb's enclosure) or any car that provides 12v for it's license plate lamp (splicing will be required for non 194-168 cars).

The kits sell for $20, all standard colors cost the same. If you desire any unusual colors such as yellow or orange, these can be made for an additional cost, as they are much harder and expensive to obtain.

Kits are shipping these kits in a USPS small flat rate box, and include tracking. Shipping will be as follows:

50 States: $5
Canada: $11
Everywhere: $13

These are standard USPS rates, rounded up a couple (.20) of cents to cover PayPal fees.

Payment will be preferred through PayPal, though MO and checks will also be accepted. Local pick up and cash payment will be available for people near San Jose CA.

Re: Cathode License Plate kits

I'd love a plug and play trunk kit

The dome light would be nice, but I'd rather something plug and play (like the $20 LED's).

Re: Cathode License Plate kits

Cold Cathode FTW. i has a set of red 12's in my explorer, and now i have a set of blue 12's in my accord. Just a tip man try adding the sound control module to your kits. They are very easy to wire in. Thats what i did
