i was reading up on it a few days ago, and it has an "auto" mode and a "shutter priority" mode, meaning, you select the shutter speed you want, then the camera chooses the aperture.

its not really that useful for anything but action shots :Smoker: but the auto mode should get you on the way.

Yea I'm excited about rolling shots, I've always wanted to get rolling shots of my car. I'm going to look for the auto mode.

I always forget to bring my camera inside work, I've had 5 hours of down time at work and I could have been messing around with the camera.

:lawl: its just a little mental math, or use the camera and see what happens.

Re: Yep. (56k no way.)

remember that each "full stop" you change, another "full stop" has to change, too.

if the amount of light a lens lets in doubles from f/11 to f/8...it quadruples from f/11 to f/2.8

same with shutter speed. the amount of light let in at 1/250 is doubled at 1/125 (its 60 * 2, although a little rounded). going from 1/250 to to 1/15 is 3x the light.

each "click" on the aperture is a stop (only those numbers i listed in the PM), and each click on the shutter dial is a stop. each stop doubles or halves the light let into the camera. its all about multiplying and dividing by 2.

Ok ill give it a try ha, for some reason I am having trouble comprehending this and I'm letting it frustrate me haha. I have unrelenting stardards so I want to be able to master this stuff but I know it will take some time.

@ejreams. Thanks, I am going to post the pictures that I took with a tri pod today.
