haha don't worry I got it. I would also like a shorter shifter just for aesthetics, I hate that tall thing. But I haven't read a DIY yet that I thought was quality & yield the results I want.

There are shift knobs that will sit a little lower, but if you really want the 'short shifter' look, either cut it, or swap the whole shift assembly to the Prelude/TL/CL one and go with that.

:rwerd: prelude shifter sits hell of a lot lower than the stock accord shifter did

the razo knob i used to have on my old auto sat pretty low with the shifter rod uncut at stock height. it was cuz the whole knob pressed down, and the piece inside the shifter rested on the inside of the top of the razo knob.

Leave the shifter alone, its long and stout look, is to remind you that you are driving a slushbox and need to do a manual swap.

There are no ways around it, you cannot shift any faster in D and you cannot cut the shaft and put a manual boot on to fool yourself. You're still applying your breaks and putting your car from P to D. lol.....dont get me wrong, I like some automatics....just not in this car...Its only nice when I've got 400+hp under my foot.

Yeah I also had the RAZO shifter and that was a little lower.

Give him a break guys, he just wants a more aesthetically pleasing shifter, for a lot of people the manual swap isn't feasible. I swapped my shifter into the razo with a type r boot before I ever went 6 speed and it made me happy for quite a while.
