I'm not sure how it is where you are but in my city if you have a CF hood then all the rice wants to race for some dumb reason. Nothing about my car says race me but I still get reved at from time to time.

If my op was read you would know that I am NOT trying to paint the hood black to imitate cf, if I liked the look of the cf then I would get a cf hood plain and simple but I think that if the hood was painted black and the lip + grille matched then it would look better than having the cf hood. It is part my fault for not being able to show pics until now to illistrate my point but oh well. On the other hand if the black hood would realy look cheesey then I wont do it.The idea for my car is to NOT make it look like I just came from rice town with an rediculous body kit, chrome tail lights and an airplane wing on my trunk

people still asked what colour your car is and you didnt answer their question...

Thats true and I should have just said satin silver but I wanted to post the pics but unfortunatley the weather wasnt working with me and I was still monkeying around with my headlights after I did the blackhousing. Anyways the pics are up and I just want to move forward with this

Well if u just want to paint your hood so it could "match" your lip and grill...then why not just get a cf hood and wrap your lip in cf..thats what i would do

i did read the OP... my opinion is that a black hood on a non-black car looks weird and kinda expensive... only black hood i would put on any car is an oem-style cf hood

ive seen a silver 6ga with black vinyl'ed hood, roof, and trunk... it looked decent cause of the theme he had going

im just worried that you might spend the money to get it black... and it might look out of place (like it needs to be painted silver) LOL know what i mean?

IMO if your ultimate goal is to get a CF hood, save the money and leave the car as-is

if you dont like the look of CF on ur car u can always get it colour-matched

I think what I will do is get the cf hood and after its installed I'll make my decision then, I like the look of the cf in darker settings like in DarkSideAccord's pics and pyaarawala's but in brighter settings like Chido's pic thats when it gets to me but thats all part of cf so theres not much I can do about that lol

Bro, Its up to you. If you want a black hood, but dont want carbon fiber then i suggesst you buy a primered hood and paint it black, just in case you decide to go back to oem.

People are always ganna have opinions but its People's preference and sense of style that truly makes cars unique. :peace:
