Just out of curiosity, would there be a difference in method for a 98-00 bumper?

I know we don't have the 'fake lip' line...so just wondering how big the difference would be.

Would we still have to cut the sides?

The front requires cutting because the 01-02 bumpers have a different shape than the 98-00's...i know that much for sure.

I think if you search there are a few people who have fitted 98-00 lips on their 01-02's

I am pretty sure you do not have to do any major modifications to fit the kit to the 98-00 vehicles, but i cannot say for certain. The kit was originally designed for those years so it would be pretty bad if you had to cut them. My guess is just a bit of sanding to smooth out the edges and your good.

The reason I ask is because the site does say I have to cut OEM sideskirts for the replicas to fit...I never understood what that meant until I saw the pictures.

heh, thanks for the reply though =)

how does the sides look with the door open? do you have any pics to show inside..I heard the door rubs due to this being added on top of OEM side..

Ill try and get a better photo without such drastic shadows. I have yet to notice any rubbing, but there is definitely an obvious distinction between the stock lip and the replica over it. some might find this pretty ghastly, but it doesnt really bother me too much.

Mine rubs on one side but not the other. I could have probably adjusted the door slightly (about 1-2MM) and been fine. My door actually is slight off on both sides and could fit better, the damage has already been done so I don't mind now.

I took the time to finish the tops well and looks good. The only thing is that if you put it over the top of stock, the lip on top isn't as big as the stock. I used seam sealer to attach the two peices and that is noticeable. However, it doesn't look bad, it isn't super clean but looks like it could have been OEM.

Remember that our doors are so large that they sag over time. I would bet that if your doors are in perfect alignment, they would have no problem. Again, my only does on one side but even the side it doesn't rub, the door isn't perfectly aligned.
