Red nail polish?? That sounds genius!!! I'm going to be very interested to find out how that works out. Yes please post pics as soon as you have it done! I'm also curious to find out how that would work given there won't be any red light shining through...

The only problem is once you paint the needles red light won't shine through them right? What I wanted and I assume the OP is red light up needles.

yea, that's one thing i'm very worried about. i got the clearest red nail polish i could find that wasn't pink, lol. still not sure if the nail polish i got is the right nail polish, but i'm going to apply the thinnest layer of nail polish possible to let some of that light to shine through.

i haven't had a chance to paint my needles yet. i've been focusing a lot more on studying for finals and making the temp gauge light work than spending who knows how many hours in taking this all apart to paint the needles.

after friday i should have the time to work on this.

nail polish? :eh:

youre not going to see **** for needles at night.

-go to walmart
-go to their automotive section
-pick up "red automotive tail light tape"
-purchase
-apply
-see the needles at night

Do NOT scrape off, apply marker to, or paint over the stock needles. The amber is a special material application Honda uses, and it must be there to disperse the light correctly.

Find a clear red tape and cut it to fit over the needle and you will get the red you want.

RedRyders' suggestion seems to make the most sense to me...I think I would be very nervous about trying to move the amber paint on the needles with nail polish remover or similar. Knowing my luck I'd probably doing some damage to the cluster...
Will RedAutomotive's suggestion of the automotive tail light tape work best???
