ac is constantly on

this has been an ongoin problem. the knob will be turned to off but the ac/heat will stay on. anyone know a fix?

Like the compressor stays on or just you feel air blowing.
If its just air hit the recirc button and it will stop.

I'm assuming you have the manual air controls and that you're referring to the fan speed knob. the knob probably wont turn to off cause the inside of it broke. grab the knob and just pull straight out. its design to come off and you can grab the metal piece sticking out and turn it. you'll need to buy a new knob.

you have an i4, right?

taking out the ac compressor is prolly a no go not really into racing anymore...jus need a nice whip for the ladies :leeann:

i'll giv taking off the knob and turning the rod a try...whats a i4

anyways i have a new problem! the ac now doesn't blow cold air at all! and i think the compressor is making a reving sound i'll try an get som audio. think its a freon leak but i hav no way of checking. any help?
