Very unique and innovative style to your trunk. Is that laminate toungue and groove flooring or actual hardwood? I like how you used the MDF as an underlayment. Hope the glue bonded well. Did you put any rubber feet on your sub box? Just curious how you are gonna keep it from sliding around.

You want something like this......

I think what you did looks good so far, but doing something like above would finish off the look.

If you want to match your floor, box, and passenger cabin trim you could always wrap everything in the 3M DI-NOC wood finish of your choosing, and they have a TON of wood finishes available (and were available way before their CF wrap became popular and were mainly used to refinish counter tops, floors, etc.)

I have cables with snap connectors attached to eye bolts in the hardwood to keep it from sliding. It is too tall to fit rubber feet, unfortunately. This thing would be a pain in the to steal. It barely fits through the trunk hole.

I definitely want to make the edges look right, but I'm not sure how i want to do it. Ive thought about rubber weather stripping to go around the edges and I've also considered (somehow) matching the carpet to make it overlay on the wood to make it all flow nice. I'm still thinking it over, but that's definitely a good pic and good idea about matching.

now for my trunk, i had the entire piece of wood go up the lil ramps on the sides. it covered the entire trunk and gave my sub a nice lil ramp to wedge itself into

Trace the area on paper and then use a router to all the curves in. Or you could trace it on the wood, cut roughly around it and then sand down the edges to make it fit nicely

the problem with that is that area is higher than the other areas, its ramped up
