I am currently looking to get new coilovers on my 02 accord but cant seem to make my mind up. If anyone could help and give me feedback on either coilover that would be great.

im looking to get either Function and form type 2 coilover or megan racing street series coilover. Ive done some research on both coilover and don't know if its worth paying $200 more for adjustable dampening. i go to the mountains a lot in the winter and i think thats the only time ill be adjusting the dampening so idk if its worth it to pay for it. also if anyone knows, does the dampening really make that big a difference in ride quality. this will be my first major upgrade to my car so im trying to do as much research as possible to figure out whats best for me.

Thanks for any help. Greatly appreciated.

I owned two types of coils so far. Adjustable and non adjustable. My opinion would be yes, adjustable damper is beneficial compared to non adjustable ones. My first set of coils were tein ss, now I'm currently on FF type ones. Both have a different feel to it and I can proudly say the adjustable coils gave me a overall more comfortable driving pleasure.

^^ check the Suspension Review thread. Has everything you need.

But I'll save you the time having to load the page, get FF's.

why'd you choose to get coils with non adjustable dampening after having it? and do you like you FF type ones more even though you cant adjust them?

and thanks for your guys help.

Tein ss didn't go low enough for me;personal preference. I basically traded ride comfort for one inch lower.:lawl:

I haven't heard anything bad about Megan Streets. I've seen reviews on multiple forums in the past and I've seen nothing but positive reviews.

I have type 2's and they're great. If you want to save some money just get type 1's. They are just as good and they go very low. You won't be dissappointed.

ya im not as much worried about ride height as much as i am worried about ride quality. the streets around where i live aren't to shabby so i feel like if i get the type 1's ill regret not paying the extra $200 to be able to adjust ride quality a bit. thats why im trying to see if its actually a noticeable improvement in ride quality over not having the adjustable dampening. so my next question is do you ever change ur setting on ur ride? or do you just leave it or the stiffest/softest setting all the time?

^ yep. once you set it to your liking you just leave it there until you wanna adjust it again. FF does not have the tein EDFC feature where you can electronically adjust it from a control module mounted inside your car anywhere you like.
