Sorry to hear this Brandon :(

Not ever touching the tranny fluid FTMFW!

Honestly.... I'd use it as a trade-in on a different car at this point :hide:

I'm SO GLAD I got rid of my car before the autotragic struck with a vengeance. I was at ~122k
That's what I'm at basically lol. But what place would take it at this point? What I really want (hate me if you want) is a 6MT G35 sedan. 2005 would be nice, but are still expensive. Looking for mid to high 4 figures. An 04 would be perfect, 03 I'd be weary of. I know a private owner selling one but I can't exactly trade it in to him for it lol.

Plus, I had so many plans for this Accord :( Part outs ftl.

G35 6MT is not a bad choice at all. Only problems with those cars is that they're heavy as hell. But it's a good mix of a luxury and a sports car at the same time. Only downside is that the gas mileage on those cars are horrible, regardless of how you drive.

I've been getting around 15mpg city and about 20 hwy recently due to a exhaust leak at the flex pipe (I'm guessing). Sounds awesome lol, but I guess that's something else I'll need to address. Plus, it'd be worth it for the fun factor w/the six speed, and power factor. Also, G35 forums pale in comparison to the people I've met on here.

Don't say that! :( I'd love to but I need a car to get around for various jobs and for school this fall. No budget unfortunately for a new one, plus idk where I'd get rid of it. I'll prob fix it and see where my luck goes from there. I love this car too much.

Mine did the same thing around 172K and at Autozone it read a transmission code. Bad thing is in my Haynes manual there are several codes for the transmission alone. I ended up taking it to the Honda dealer and luckily the diagnosed it as the countershaft speed sensor which is located on top of the tranny. They replaced it for like $85 and ever since then its been doing fine (thank God!). Just got a wrecked 5 speed so bout to do a swap, but you may wanna check into that first before shelling out for rebuild or another tranny. Hope this helps...good luck!

I'm going to go with this and what my mom suggested and see what Honda says. Not sure how much they'd charge for a diagnostic, but I might take it to another shop to see if they can diagnose it in a similar manner.

What's the latest, Brandon?

Nothing yet. Had the car parked for a about 2 weeks, and then after driving it, realized it didn't slip in that same manner. CEL is still on however.
