***Update***
It was my struts. I'm assuming it was because the bushings in the top hats were destroyed. Anyway, after putting Coilovers on, all of the suspension noise is gone.

Hey all,
My car has an audible clunk in the front suspension when I hit bumps.
It has tokico blues up front, OEM/OEM replacement struts in the back, and Megan Racing springs all around. It seems to be just a very moderate lower, MAYBE 1-2 inches. I know it's not the best equipment but it's what was on it when i bought it.

Anyway, whenever i hit a bump I get this clunk/slight rattle in the front suspension on both sides. Does anyone have any idea what I should look for? I'm trying to diagnose the problem but can't find it.

I jacked up the car and tried give the suspension components a shake with my hands and nothing seems loose. The bushings in the top hats for my strut look sort of warped. If you look at them from the engine bay they look like they aren't in perfectly straight. The top hats are in fine, it's just the black rubber bushing were the top hat connects to the strut that seems out of whack. It's the same on both sides.

I also just noticed today that I hear a loud clunk when i turn the stearing back and forth. I'm not sure if thats related because i just noticed it today. Maybe something in the steering rack is loose?

Anyone know of any common problem parts or any idea were i should look first?

your sway bar end links/ball joints. check them.

btw, your car with the 05-06 type s wheels looks amazing! how much did those cost you?

Check Engine mounts, exhaust hung properly? Loose heat shield, front / rear endlinks. I had the same issue until I got new engine mounts

I don't think it's the exhaust, since i have an exhaust rattle as well in the cat but that's a different sound. It's more of a heavy clunk than the sound my exhaust makes.

What should I look for in the Engine Mounts? They definitely look older but I didn't notice any obviously destroyed bushings.

Thanks for the input so far guys.

You'll have a clunking and a lot of engine play. I bet It's your engine mounts. Look for any obvious signs of wear. Take it by a shop or have someone look at them

Are you feeling constant vibration when driving? That would suggest bad motor mounts. If you're only having problems over bumps, seems like that would be suspension related. Maybe you're hitting your bumpstops?
