I"m in the process of doing a g23 build also. Is it better to use k series rods or you the f23 rods with kseries pistons? I have sk2 stage 3 tuner series cams. euro R intake mani, supertech, valves, springs, retainers. I have no clue what kind of power I'll be able to put out. Many years ago when i did my 1st swap it was a mess. the sk2 mani couldn't fit until we banged the firewall in and at that there was barely any room.

The k-series rod would be better if it would work. I havn't looked into it in a while. You would have to figure out the size, lengths and such.

I hope it's ok for me to put this post in this section. The person building my g23 is trying to convince me to do a regular h22, but money, time and parts towards the g23 were already spent. I don't want to be disappointed as far numbers and power gains. 1 thing has me nervous, reliability. Has anyone done it and used it as a daily? As long as you plug the 2 holes and wire it right, are there any major risk?

you guys should use pro1 series cams.. you have a big power loss with those cams. pro1 series has a better power band over the pro2s. and as far as you go cuba.. those cams are going to greatly hurt your power with that high of compression..

these swaps are not the realible.. theyre pretty much like the LS Vtec swap or the B20 Vtec swap.. i mean if you put enough money into and time.. and have a really good mechanic than yeah itll last a little while.. but if its a back yard swap.. youll prolly get 20 to 50K out the motor

Thx for the input jdm, i'm kind of stuck with those sk2 cams. My swap will be done right, head sent out, block also and all seals and gaskets brand new. I have an lsv and it was done right too. New parts and machine work. I really don t want to abort the whole g23 thing, but 20-50k? That's nothing, can I ask how you got that number? This is my 2nd accord, I was gonna boost the other g23 and go all motor on this one. I really don't know what I'm going to do now.

As I said, i have an lsv too, but love my 6th gen accords. Everyone looks at me like I m nuts for preffering it over my eg coupe. I'm trying to make sure that I m holding on to the accords for the right reason. In my daily, i want between 230-240 who, whether g23 or h22, but the h is gonna be hard to get that out of it.
