Wanting a Different Horn

sodas2k suggested a 7G horn but I never found out if he installed them or not. Others have used aftermarket horns and FIAMM horns seem to be a nice choice. Does anyone who's installed those like them?

Has anyone successfully installed any other Honda/Acura OEM horn? If so, how difficult was it? The 7G and TL horns are a good sound but I thought I saw someone say they wouldnt wire up.

Im getting tired of the "meep meep" and want something deeper and more "normal". I dont want or need a train horn, truck horn, OOGA horn or something to scare people with. Just something louder and that can be heard whilst going down the highway.

I know Ford and GM both have nice, deep sounding horns but I dont imagine them being plug-and-play. Of course, I could be wrong.

Use your horn a lot? lol

Mercedes SEL horn from the 80's. That is all.

With some solder and some wire u can attach them to the pos and nef prongs of any horn u like then jb weld the plug full for a sturdy reliable horn then cut and splice into ur horn harness id say about 3 on difficulty

Eh. Not A LOT, but enough that when I do use it, I hate it, lol.

Huh???

I want to unplug/remove my stock horns and I want something that will be a direct replacement with little-to-no problems. Im not rigging anything. The thought of using JBweld is borderline rigging, lol.

There's a video on YouTube by "diyhonda" (their only video) of someone putting an Accord horn on an 8G civic. It's a direct swap.

Now I know we're not Civics but it makes me wonder. And for only $40, and the ability to return them, it cant be that bad of an idea to try.

I HAD a set 89' fox body Mustang horns on my Accord until my Dad wanted them for our project car. It's wicked simple swapping horns, just pick a set you like.

I dont wanna have to wire anything though. I mean, MAYBE a relay, but that's it. That's why I wanted to start with OEM Honda/Acura. Chances are they'll be a direct replacement.

The only wiring I did was cutting the connector from the right horn. Then spliced the Mustang horns that were wired in series to the wire from the right horn. Then bolted them to where the original horns were, since thats how most horns are grounded. You wont need any relays or special wiring because it's already there from Honda.
