Extended studs/spacers...

Hey guys, i need some extended studs to go with the 10mm spacers i got from a friend. But i don't know what size studs to get... because i wanna get ones that are long enough for my 10mm's, but i think i wanna get ones a little longer incase the 10's arent aggressive enough and i wanna add 5mm ones on to that, but idk... So i need suggestions on exactly which ones to get. All responses are welcome. Thanks everybody.

Oh and also some info on the install itself would be cool. Im kinda taking a shot in the dark with it and know nothing...

search around some more. youll find what you need , also id sell your 10's and get 15's

If you get 10mm spacers...you need studs that are 10mm longer. And you don't add spacers together, you only run one that is the proper width. So before you buy spacers, find out what you need first. If you already have some but want wider ones, sell the old ones.

If you know what size spacer you need, H&R sells kits that come with the proper length studs depending on what spacers you pick out. So they take out the guessing.

As for studs, rotate the hub and pound each stud out with a mallet.

you can totally stack spacers. I've had 2 5mm spacers stacked on both rear wheels on my car for almost two years without problems, ya its technically not the right way but it works. (disclaimer if this doesn't work for you I'm not responsible)

TAS sells ARP extended wheel studs I have them on my car. there plenty long for whatever spacer wheel combo your trying to run. best way to install them is smack the old ones out with a hammer slide the new one through put in axle nut over it and spin a lug nut down onto it with in impact gun. the axle nut being there will make sure the stud gets pulled through all the way as opposed to just tightening a lug nut onto it which in some case wont seat the stud the whole way into the hub.

Well the thing is, i cant really test the 10's until i get extended studs and actually torque down my lugs. So i guess i wont know for sure if i need 5mm more or not. And do you have to take anything off when you hammer the studs out?? Or do you just pop your wheel off and your good to go? Thanks guys

You have to take the caliper off enough to move it out of the way, then you have to take your rotor off, then you should be able to see the studs and are able to move the dust shield around for each stud to knock them out. It's very easy.

I am almost positive you should be fine to run 50mm studs or longer

So 50mm studs will be good if i only wanna run 10mm spacers?

35MM thread length usually is good for 5MM or 8MM wheel spacers

40MM thread length usually is good for 10MM or 12MM wheel spacers

45MM thread length usually is good for 15MM wheel spacers

50MM thread length usually is good for 20MM wheel spacers

Remember if you get to long of extended studs you may have to run open ended lug nuts
