So I work at a local Honda dealership here in MN and I have driven the new 2012 ACCORD numerous times now. The idea that always comes to my mind is how much potential one of these things have (paticularly) the v6 model with the paddle shifters. With 6 speed swaps being the norm here, I thought it would be fun to spark up an interesting topic. Just think... If this tranny is strong enough and somebody slapped a turbo on this machine... Paddles+Boost! I just imagine a sick track car. Although, at this time with the car being brand new, odds that you find a motor tranny combo of this application are pretty slim. Would any of you guys consider it?

I can appreciate paddles for their ability to provide quick shifts and efficient rev matching...but I'll still take a standard stickshift w/clutch any day.

I think it could be cool given the right swap. I bet Rich would make a harness :lawl:

Yeah i think i'm with you on that! Plus the paddle shifters only come in a 5spd.

I just found a 6 speed locally out of a 2004 accord with 20k that I may pick up in the next couple weeks or so, so from what I read and see from his work, Richie has quite a reputation, so I hope to contact him soon in the near future. Oh and I found an artical from a local shop here in MN (modern automotive performace MAP) for you guys here on 6th gen accord also. Its about a J series turbo kit that they have been customizing for a bunch of guys here in MN running Jseries integras.

They are paddles... on a slushbox. What's so exciting about that? They are far slower and less responsive than a proper manual. And there's still more drivetrain loss.

Hell to the no.
