These are the best HIDs I've ever had, I'd say get 5k 35watt (don't be the guy who gets 55w and burns peoples' retinas out at night), they outlived my accord and lit the road really well.


Oh side note #2: The stock fog light bulbs that Honda used in the 6th gen accords and 2nd gen acuras were a joke, its like what a 15w bulb or something (correct me if I'm wrong). That bulb isn't gonna do jack for lighting anything... it really wasn't worth anything but looks imo.

Would be a good thread for a photo comparison of the different 'k' fog setups people are running.

My retro(S2K) is practically touching the headlight covers, so it lights up right across a 4 lane highway.

My fogs will have a 5K HID kit, so I would imagine that that will provide some additional lighting, but I would have to test what it would be like without the headlights on.

You should use 3k fog lights because it refracts less off of water, ie you it will illuminate things in front of you on the road better in the... whats that word.... oh fog or rain. lol

5.5 and 6k isn't the best idea for fogs because it refracts off of water very, well, I guess is how you'd put and it will just cause glare in fog or rain. This is why they make fog lights otherwise whats the point, you have headlights right?

Edit: huge effect on snow as well btw.

hmm well that explains why my 8K refracts on the ground when it rains. & most def going to get 3k when i get my fogs.

wow I've heard about ddm never actually checked them out, good prices. has anyone actually had experience of your fog housing melting from using 55 watt? that wouldn't blind ppl would it

The fogs are either 4500K or 5000K. They should end up being the exact same output as the headlights.

Yea 55 is unecessary, 35w will be a huge improvement over stock.
55w is for high beams and being that it is an infraction And cops can harass you and ticket you for leaving them on, it's not a good idea to use them as low beams.

(oh and the stock bulb is 5 watts… lawl)
